Last Wednesday it was Hangul Day (the day the Korean writing was invented), so it was a free day in Korea. My university International Student Organization decided to take us on a field trip to Nami Island, a tiny island in Chuncheon province, 1h away from Seoul.
Nami Island (or in Korean, Namisum) is an imaginary country, but your passport is required in order to enter the island (so we had to bring ours to enter!). It declared itself a self-governing country in 2006 actually, and it's more of less considered a "microstate". It has invented its own passport, currency, stamp and telephone card, and has promoted the establishment of Naminara in other countries (even though it's not recognized as far as I know haha...).
Before entering to Naminara Republic we had lunch at a restaurant tasting this region's speciality, dak galbi (roasted chicken) as tyou can see in the picture. It was super tasty! The one in the picture comes with tteok (rice cake) and mushrooms. And (just like everything else in Korea) it's for sharing! :)
El miércoles pasado fue el día del Hangul (el día en que la escritura coreana se inventó), así que era un día festivo en Corea. La Organización Internacional Estudiantil (Siglas en inglés: ISO) nos llevó entonces de excursión a la isla de Nami, una pequeña isla en la provincia de Chuncheon, a una hora de Seúl.
La isla de Nami (o en coreano Namisum) es un país imaginario, pero a pesar de éso se requiere pasaporte para entrar en la isla (así que tuvimos que traerlo!). Se declaró un país autónomo en 2006 de hecho, y está menos considerado que un "microestado". Ha inventado su propio pasaporte, moneda, sello y tarjeta de teléfonos, y aún no tener mucha popularidad ha intentado establecer y promover la existancia de Naminara (el país Nami) en otros países.
Antes de entrar a la República de Naminara comimos en un restaurante donde probamos una de las especialidades de la provincia, dak galbi (pollo a la barbacoa) como podéis ver en la foto. Estaba buenísimo! El de la foto venía con "tteok" (pastel de arroz) y setas, y (como todo en Corea), es para compartir! :)

Luego fuimos a las "fronteras" de Naminara para coger el ferry hacia la isla.
I would've loved to do this but we didn't have time :(

We had a lovely day, and the weather was perfect! Not super hot but not super cold either. Now it seems temperatures are kind of going down (finally!), luckily I got my parent's package with my winter clothes already so I finally have things to wear without dying of coldness lol! Have a good fall,
Tuvimos un muy buen día, y el tiempo era perfecto! No hacía mucha calor pero tampoco mucho fresco. Ahora parece que las temperaturas van hacia abajo (por fin!), por suerte ya he recibido el paquete de mis padres con mi ropa de invierno, así que ya tengo ropa que ponerme sin morir de frío! Haha.
