Day and night in Dongdaemun-gu

Hello my lovelies and welcome again to a normal blog post from Cloudydaysandletters! XD As I said before I have already umpacked and I'm finally settled in my dorms, so now that my baby Nikon is out I'm gonna try and take pictures as a good blogger that I am! (?) Today it hasn't been a super great day here in Seoul, since it's been raining the whole day and the weather was super gloomy... Still, I managed to walk my camera a bit, even if it was only during lunchtime and dinner!

I had lunch with Merrily, one of my best friends here in Korea. We went to one of the places in the area which has the most variety of food (you'll see, traditional restaurants in Korea aren't known to have a wide variety of dishes to choose from lol!).

Hola mis queridos y bienvenidos otra vez a una entrada normal de Cloudydaysandletters! XD Como he dicho anteriormente ya he desempaquetado y estoy instalada en mi residencia, así que ahora que mi bebé Nikon está fuera voy a intentar y hacer fotos como una buena blogger que soy (?) Hoy no hemos tenido un día perfecto en Seúl que digamos, ha estado lloviendo todo el día y el cielo estaba muy encapotado... De todas maneras he sacado a pasear mi cámara, aunque simplemente ha sido para comer y cenar.

He comido con Merrily, una de mis mejores amigas aquí en Corea. Hemos ido a uno de los restaurantes de la zona que más variedad de comida tiene (ya lo veréis, los restaurantes típicos coreanos no son famosos por tener una lista enorme de platos de los que elegir lol!).

I ordered bibimbap (up) and she ordered Nakji Dubpap (Rice and octopus with assorted vegetables with sweet&spicy sauce, down).

Yo pedí Bibimbap (arriba) y ella pidió Nakji Dubpap (Arroz con pulpo y verduras variadas con salsa agridulce), foto de abajo.

I just took a few pics of the main street in the neighborhood and we went straight home since it was pouring rain D: At night however, I managed to go eat something (since I started feeling sick for some reason... But I still had to eat something). So I joined my friends to have dinner around the area. This is how it looks like at night :) Hope you like the pictures!

He hecho algunas fotos de la calle principal en el barrio y hemos ido directas a casa porqué llovía mucho D: A la noche finalmente he salido a comer algo (ya que me he empezado a encontrarme mal a la tarde por alguna razón... Pero aún así tenía que comer algo). Así que me unido a mis amigas para cenar por la zona. Así es como se ve por la noche :) Espero que os gusten las fotos!

So this is how menus are in typical Korean restaurants. Simple, and precise. Nothing else. But of course, you either read hangul or you die (???)

Así son los menús en los restaurantes coreanos. Simples y precisos. Nada más. Pero claro, o lees coreano o mueres (???)

Since I wasn't feeling too well I ordered tteokmanduguk. It's the closest thing I found to what I eat back in Spain when I'm sick, so!

Ya que no me encontraba muy bien he decidido pedirme tteokmanduguk, que es lo más parecido que he encontrado a lo que me como en España cuando me encuentro mal!

After dinner we went for a walk around the area. Carolina was dying for something sweet so we looked for something she might like. She ended up buying some chocolates in this bakery ^_^ Also I loved this Pororo cake! Isn't it adorable?

Después de cenar fuimos a pasear por la zona. Carolina se moría por comer algo dulce así que fuimos a buscar algo que le apeteciera. Terminó comprándose unos bombones en ésta pastelería ^_^ Me encantó éste pastel de Pororo! No es mono?
