New Year's + Christmas Cards

Hey everyone, 2013 is here already! ヾ(^∇^) Aren't you excited? Haha~ I had so much fun on New Year's I must say! We had a nice meal with my friend's parents and we followed our grape tradition as well~~

Appetizers ^_^

Mom's special beef (●♡∀♡) <3333

And this is us during the countdown! Tyler is more or less like, "What's going on" and I look horrible lol, but I wanted to make the video anyway ^_^

After that we played Secret Santa and well... The rest of the night was pretty boring for Tyler and I tbh XD I Skyped with Peter and Raquel, but we chilled most of the time. I'm gonna miss Tyler so much, he's one of my best friends and he's leaving tomorrow.... ;_; *cries*

Durp, he's gonna kill me pho this picture but no regrets :_______D

2013: Poser Year for me? lol

The 1st in the morning is one of the most precious moments of the year for me. I've always been into Classical music so, every 1st Jan morning I woke up listening to the Vienna Philarmonic New Year's Concert on TV. It's such a special thing for me, it makes me feel like I'm home and a good year just started ^_^!!! Mom works in l'Auditori, one of the most famous auditoriums in Barcelona, so thanks to her I've always been in contact with this kind of music. My favourite pieces of music in the concert are the two last ones: The Blue Danube from Strauss (son) the Radetzky March from Strauss (father). I specially like the last one because it's part of Battle Royale's Original Soundtrack, my favourite movie!

Also I went to my grandma's place for lunch. We had a really nice menu, so I nommednommed like there was no tomorrow lol~ (*^ワ^*)  First we had some salad and prawns as appetizers...

We also had young eels (imitation, not the real ones!) as an appetizer. It's a thing here, we call it "gulas", and we eat it with chilli, olive oil and garlic.

The main dish was her unique speciality: Cannelloni with jamón and cheese on top! <333333 It's definitely something we all look forward too ;___; It looks delicious, and I swear they really were!

On the other hand, it's been a long time I don't write a snail mail post, right? Haha well, sorry about that, really! >_< We didn't have mail the three following days, so I got tons of new mail yesterday! I swear, I got like... 10 letters! Well, it's still Christmas in Spain, since we have another special date on January, but I'll leave this to another post. First, I'd like to show you guys how my Christmas corner in my living room looks like :)

I have a special corner where we put all the Christmas cards we receive (both from family and penpals of mine). You can see it's pretty crowded, isn't it? :D Alright then, I'm going to present my cards!

This one comes from Dede from Finland. She's Chinese, but she's been living most of her life in Vietnam, and now she's in Finland. I'm gonna reply with a letter so, we'll be officially penpals soon ^_^

Left: Nathan / Right: Rae, both from the UK

Alina from the Netherlands ^_^

Rob from the Netherlands too. Rob is a good friend of mine who came to study last year. We went to the same language academy and we became friends really quickly! He went back hom last June and I miss him so much :\ So I'm so glad he sent me a Christmas card, thanks a bunch dear :) (Haha he likes calling me Claudy XD)

My new Russian penpal Masha! <3

Corey from Singapore, one of the penpals I get along with best~~

Jasmine from Louisiana, USA (American born Viet). I met her in summer and we swapped postcards not so long ago, so it's always nice to hear back from her ^_^ She'll be going to Vietnam soon! *Sigh* I envy her...

Kyra from Taiwan made this homemade Christmas card for me. Isn't it amazing? *-* I was fascinated when I got it, thanks sosososo much! I've known her for a couple of years already, and I find she's a super unique girl, pretty far from the average Asian girls I met so far :)

Anita from Taiwan also sent me a New Years card, thanks! <3 I really like Anita, we've swapped postcards more than once and we both support Taiwan's independence.

Vanessa from Cali (USA) sent me the cuttest letter/Christmas letter, thanks sososososo much :D

Finally, Linda from the US was the first one who sent me a Christmas letter... Thanks so much <3

I guess this is all :) My winter break is coming to its end, sob sob ;_; I still have lots of homework  and lots of things to do in general (buying presents for January, save money, catch up with snail mail...)... Argh, I need to do it though, we all need to go back to our routine! Even though I'm super looking forward to our free week in February already! OHHH and by the way, just 1 month left until I know which Korean university I got accepted in x_x Ugh, I'm dying of impatience, really!

See you guys soon! I still have some things to post but, I have work to do now :) See you all and Happy New Year everyone!

Love,

CL
